Hello! We’re the Haigs – Tom, Sarah, Ezra and Amariyah. Our first passion in life is to know Jesus Christ more and more and to worship Him with the whole of our lives. We want to follow Him wherever He leads us and do what He calls us to do. A few years ago while we were doing youth ministry in Devon, UK, God spoke to us and told us He was going to take us on ‘an adventure of faith’. Since that time through a series of events we felt Him lead us to Malawi, Africa to join the team at YWAM Blantyre. Malawi is one of the poorest and least developed nations on earth, but we believe God has wonderful purposes for this small but beautiful nation. One of the key things we believe God has called us to is to ‘disciple the nations’. We want to see people from Malawi and all over the world passionately following Jesus and sharing His love and power with everyone around them.
One of our main focuses at YWAM is to lead and develop our full-time team of missionary staff as well as run Discipleship Training Schools. We both have a passion for raising up maturing disciples of Jesus that will go out and bring his message and hope to the nations. We love to see people discover who they are in Jesus and what He has called them to do! In many ways we feel very empty-handed and very much like ‘jars of clay’, and yet we are trusting that as we continue to step out into His calling, He will equip and empower us for His work.
We both feel so privileged to be living this life, following Jesus and experiencing Him impact and transform people’s lives as well as our own. So far on the adventure God is taking us on, we have had many highs and lows, facing adversities and experiencing challenges, but one thing we continue to realize is that God is so faithful and He’ll never give up on us! We so value all of you who support us in different ways and stand with us in the work that Jesus has given us to do. Each of you are such an encouragement and blessing to our lives.
